Hi. I recently got sims 4 and i LOVE it. I especially love playing with CC. The only problem is that the cc takes up too much space from my computer. So I installed my Sims 3 on my external hard drive since I have a Macbook Air, and that's not really a gaming computer. It's worked fine, except some of my files refuse to store on my external HD. This is the folder that automatically stores on my computer. It's all of my saved games and content.
I've tried moving it to my external HD but it'll just recreate a new one in the same place and ignore the one on my HD. I've installed Mods and I know I've put them in the right place, because I've watched a billion videos on it and read a million threads but they don't show up in my game, downloading sims 4 mods with external drive.

November edited November Hi there I'm also using an external hard drive on my MacBook. However, I have the files saved in the "My Documents" folder in the computer not the hard drive. I was told that those files MUST be stored on the computer because that is where the computer reads the files. However, the actual games are on my external hard drive. They are there because they take up so much space.
It runs beautifully and also, once that works, downloading sims 4 mods with external drive, your mods should be work. If not, respond back and I downloading sims 4 mods with external drive gladly help you with installing mods. Some mornings it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps.
