I've got a soft spot in my heart for budget priced anthology titles. Like anyone with a healthy sense of nostalgia, I look back on yesterday and wish that the games made by modern publishers could live up to the hopes, dreams, and ambitions of days gone by. And then there's Street Fighter. Like perhaps every fighting game aficionado, I was weened on these games from a young age. These games are great if you're a fighting game fan, and decent if you aren't. Besides, they've been talked about so many times before that I can't really add anything. The only thing I can say in particular is that I love the addition of Gem Fighter.
I loved playing Gem Fighter, since I was a huge fan of their Puzzle Fighter puzzle game, so seeing it included in this anthology was great.
If you're picky about presentation, you might be in for some tough luck. None of these games can compete visually with more modern titles I'm thinking about you, Guilty Gear X! However, if you're the sort of person I think you are, you grabbed a copy of this title so you could get down with some great old fighting gameplay.
